Spintires MudRunner not only improves on the graphical element of the game but also the truck list. Not only have all the old trucks have been reworked in someway but a handful of new trucks have been added too. The focus of this post is to highlight the newest trucks to the game.
1. C-260
The C-260 is inspired by the KrAZ 260. It is very capable for both logging and as a large recovery vehicle. The C-260 has a stack of addons to choose from so it can basically conquer anything you throw at it with no troubles
Pros:
- Lots of addons
- All Wheel Drive and Diff Locks
- Long wheel base
- Good damage capacity
Cons:
- Color is hideous
- Size can be and issue when scouting for watchtowers
- Average fuel consumption
Vehicle Addon List:
- Fireproof Exhaust
- Fuel Cistern
- Fuel Semitrailer
- Garage Cart
- Garage Parts
- Garage Semitrailer
- Garage Trailer
- Log Carriage
- Log Carrier
- Medium Log Cart
- Short Log Trailer
- Spare Wheel
- Trailer Hitch
- Utility Attachement
- Utility Semitrailer
- Utility Trailer
2. A-469
Although the A-496 has been in every version of Spintires I am calling this a new truck because it has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. As many of you long time Spintires players know the A-469 is based off of the UAZ 469. It is quite a capable Jeep type rig and serves mostly as a scout vehicle that is best for some light off roading. The A-496 now has animated steering and a completely rebuilt undercarriage. Unfortunately, it still only has the trunk and spare wheel for addons.
Pros:
- Great scout vehicle
- All Wheel Drive and Diff-Locks
- Small Size
- Animated Steering
- Great fuel economy
Cons:
- Not many addons
- Cannot carry logs
- Not great in mud
Vehicle Addon List:
- Spare Wheel
- Trunk
3. B-131
This is basically the original and very un-capable Zil-130 on steroids. It is a really good all rounder truck that can do well at anything you throw at it. As I have already mentioned it is based off the Zil-131. I must say when jacked up and an extra axle is added these trucks can take a beating.
Pros:
- Lots of Addons
- Decent fuel range
- Great log truck
- Good all rounder
Cons:
- Size
- dangerous water level depth
Vehicle Addon List:
- Fireproof Exhaust
- Fuel Cistern
- Fuel Semitrailer
- Garage Cart
- Garage Parts
- Garage Semitrailer
- Garage Trailer
- Log Carriage
- Log Carrier
- Medium Log Cart
- Short Log Trailer
- Spare Wheel
- Trailer Hitch
- Utility Attachement
- Utility Semitrailer
- Utility Trailer
4. C-256
One of the more underwhelming new trucks the C-256 is basically a de-tuned ‘highway’ version of the C-255. Forget the All Wheel Drive and Off Road tires and think highway queen because this truck is pretty bad off road. The one thing that saves it is that it has Diff-Locks so it can be capable if you have enough skill or a winch. Once again we have another truck with a bunch of addons so it can basically be any type of vehicle you need it to be.
Pros:
- Highway/Road truck
- Good amount of addons
Cons:
- Not great in mud
Vehicle Addons
- Fuel Cistern
- Fuel Semitrailer
- Garage Parts
- Garage Semitrailer
- Garage Trailer
- Log Carraige
- Log Carrier
- Log Crane Carriage
- Long Log Cart
- Medium Log Cart
- Short Log Trialer
- Spare Wheel
- Trailer Hitch
- Utility Attachment
- Utility Semitrailer
- Utility Trailer
5. A-968M
Finally we come to the most useless of car of them all. The A-968M as I am sure you can figure out this thing is basically pointless for anything other than delivering a garage 1 point at a time. Yes, it does come with one addon and it is literally a fridge strapped to the roof rack! The A-968M has been based off the ZAZ 968M.
Pros:
- Has an addon
Cons
- Pretty much every thing else
Vehicle Addon List:
- Garage Parts
