ST14 – Exhaust distortion

To edit the exhaust heat distortion do the following:

Create the following folder structure: Media\Classes\Particles
Create a new file called exhaust_heat.xml and edit it so it contains the following:

<Key At=”0.6″ Value=”g(0; 0; 0; 255)” />
<Key At=”1.0″ Value=”g(0; 0; 0; 0)” />
</Color>
<LifeTime Value=”0.5″ />
</CombineParticles>
The site protected against copying. But i added the xml as a download to this post.
Then save that file and clear your appdata cache thingy.
It’s the LifeTime Value part which did it for me. I set it to 0.5 instead of 2.5. Much better for me now. If you want to have fun change it to 17.5 (as an example)
And AspectRatio=”0.5″ is also less distortion.
